Northern Kentucky University spans the region with campuses in Campbell, Boone and Grant counties. Besides its vibrant and growing main campus in Campbell county, a smaller campus in Grant county offers classes as well. Northern also operates the METS center near the Greater Cincinnati airport in Boone county, which offers high-tech education and training for the metropolitan area. Northern also offers classes at numerous sites throughout the region as well as a growing complement of online and web-enhanced courses. Creative instructional methods, use of technology and small class sizes are all characteristics of the NKU learning environment.

Northern Kentucky University is easy to find - our name says it all. We're a growing campus nestled in the hills of a safe and quiet suburb of Highland Heights with all the attributes of a larger college town. The campus is located along US 27 and is accessible from four major highways. It is just 20 minutes away from the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati Airport. We're located seven miles south of downtown Cincinnati and less than two hours away from Lexington and Louisville. Northern's location places it in the largest metropolitan area of all the state universities in Kentucky. NKU is an accredited four year public university and offers a variety of certificates, associate, bachelor's and graduate degrees, as well as a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership.

The Metropolitan Education and Training Services Center is greater Cincinnati's premiere high-tech conference center located in Northern Kentucky just minutes from the Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The center provides a powerful and comprehensive source for training and performance improvement services. METS brokers and bundles access to local, regional and worldwide resources for needs and performance assessment, training and development, management consulting, quality assurance and program evaluation. The NKU Grant County Center is a special partnership between the Grant County Foundation for Higher Education and Northern Kentucky University. It houses NKU educational programs and the NKU Office for Economic Initiatives Innovation Center. The Grant County Center offers expanded course offerings, on-site academic advising, pre-enrollment counseling and expanded student services. Students can take courses at the center to complete general education requirements then continue coursework at the main campus. Students can also progress toward an associate degree in Liberal Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership, a certificate in Leadership Development, bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (alternates between Highland Heights and Grant County campuses) and a master's degree in Instructional Leadership (web enhanced).
