Information session on local reading initiative Nov. 12
The Northern Kentucky University Office of Regional Stewardship invites you to discover how 35 minutes of your time once a week can help change a child's life.
One to One: Practicing Reading with Students is a volunteer-based program that is designed to provide opportunities for a struggling child to practice reading and gain self-confidence. Become a volunteer and help a student. Become part of a community that has an impact on student achievement.
You are invited to attend an information session on November 12 at 9 a.m. in Student Union 102. Find out how you can help improve education in Northern Kentucky. As a member of the Northern Kentucky community, your support is vital to this initiative.
Even if your spare time is limited, come and be part of the discussion. Get involved. Come for coffee and hear Polly Lusk-Page from One to One give information about the program and how you can help improve literacy and promote education in Northern Kentucky schools.
Contact Americorps *VISTA Volunteer Tyrell Pentz at (859) 572-7826 or tyrell.pentz@kycompact.org to RSVP for this event.
