HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University's Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity will host a emergency drive to raise funds and supplies for the Brighton Center November 5-12 in the Student Union lobby.
The Brighton Center provides job, family, community, children and youth services to the Northern Kentucky area. Last year alone the center served over 66,000 individuals and families through 41 different programs. This year the center is finding it difficult to continue this commitment to the community as almost all funds have been depleted.
"The Brighton Center is a cornerstone of our community that needs our support," said Mike Gardner, executive officer of Sigma Phi Epsilon. The center can use any type of monetary donation and is in need of the following items: canned meats, canned fruits and vegetables, canned soup, saltines, toothpaste, shampoo, baby diapers and wipes.
The emergency drive will run every day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be drop-off boxes in NKU's residence hall lobbies.
